13 Garden Suites (Size: 85m2)
The Garden Suites boast a maximum occupancy of 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children, below the ages of 12. They are on the ground floor in two-storey bungalows with stunning views of the manicured gardens. Each suite features a lounge in an open plan room and a private patio. This ensures that they are the ideal destination for both couples seeking a romantic getaway, and families who do not wish to compromise on luxury.
13 Superior Garden Suites (Size: 85m2)
The Superior Garden Suites, located on the upper level of the two-storey bungalows, offer additional privacy. These suites are perfect for families, accommodating up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children, below the age of 12. They feature a separate lounge area, similar to a one bedroom with a private room and lounge areas for relaxation, a patio to enjoy the garden views, and a personalized minibar (stock to be added on request).

The Partial Ocean View Suites are stand-alone bungalows designed for up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children, below the age of 12. These suites offer a spacious lounge for added comfort, as well as a private patio where you can unwind and enjoy the surrounding scenery including partial views of the ocean. The Seafront Suites are spacious standalone bungalows designed for up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children, below the age of 12, and feature a lounge area for relaxation. The private terrace provides breathtaking sea views. For added convenience, a personalized minibar is provided (stock to be added on request).
The resort also offers three- and four-bedroom villas, an exclusive and indulgent experience and ideal choice for families, or private parties. All villas have private plunge pools, fully equipped kitchens, private massage room and private terrace & garden. Room configurations include both king size and twin beds and each room has its own en-suite. Butlers and chefs are available for all villas – a supplementary charge is applicable.

The resort operates on a Half Board basis with options to upgrade to Full Board and All-Inclusive. There are no specific mealtimes at Essque Zalu and guests can dine whenever they are so inclined

Deli styled all-day restaurant with both an indoor and outdoor setting. Serving cosmopolitan fare, a gastronomic spread of crisp salads, cured meats, fresh seafood, bread straight from the oven, mouth-watering cheeses and desserts. The restaurant features organic produce and fresh, hand- picked ingredients from local growers.
The Jetty
Set al fresco on the shoreline, The Jetty Bar & Restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience right over the water, with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. Enjoy succulent modern seafood dishes for lunch and dinner, sip on refreshing drinks, share some shisha, and relax to the soothing sounds of music whether you’re catching the sunset, sunrise or enjoying a casual meal.
Maisha Cookery Studio
The studio is a private dining area, that will introduce guests to the best of traditional Swahili cuisine whilst cooking with the resident chef
Infinity Pool Bar
The Infinity Pool Bar offers breathtaking ocean views, perfectly situated next to the resort’s magnificent pool. With a beach club vibe, guests can lounge by the poolside in comfortable cabanas, soaking up the sun and enjoying the serene surroundings. Cool cocktails and light bites are served throughout the day, making it the ideal spot to unwind. As the day unfolds, live DJ sets add a vibrant touch to the atmosphere, creating a laid-back yet energetic vibe.
Baobab Bar
This space is essentially the outdoor area for the resort – a meeting place teeming with activity from sunup until early evening. Contemporary, modern and multifunctional under the shade of the magnificent baobab tree.
In-room dining and Destination Dining is also available.
The Tinga Club offers complimentary innovative and creative fun activities for your children. Your child can be taken care of around the clock by one of our Tinga Club coordinators. More than mere babysitters, they are specially trained in childcare and children entertainment. The activities are always combined with education and entertainment. The Club is available to children ages 4 to 12.
